Low number of public sector staff have their say

Only 37 per cent of government employees opted to have their say on how to make the Isle of Man Government better.

Nearly 3,400 people completed a survey - the first ever to be carried out - in a bid to reveal how it is to work in the public sector. 
 
Responses show a mixed picture with staff saying they feel directly engaged with their department but not with the government as a whole. 
 
However the survey shows overall confidence levels in action being taken as a result of the survey are low - with 40 per cent of respondents not convinced that anything will change.
