Martyn Perkins says local people aren't happy with the Department of Infrastructure's proposals to spend up to £2 million on a four-foot high wall.
The village has suffered serious flooding in the past few years, and the DOI says it expects more floods in future.
Mr Perkins, however, says the commissioners, MHKs and DOI should meet to discuss the plans, which are proving unpopular with residents.
