A local man is taking on the mammoth challenge of the London Marathon, both in memory of his late cousin and to raise funds for the Island's Hospice.
Colin Mackie will face the 26.2 mile race in April, in tribute to his cousin Suzie - who passed away late last year.
He's described the Hospice as a a 'charity close to a lot of people's hearts, but also to mine - especially after recent events.'
His cousin Suzie, who lost her battle with Cancer in November - spent her final days at the Hospice - Colin says he and his family were 'blown away' by how 'amazing the staff, environment and facilities were.'
As a result, Colin says he was inspired to not only raise much needed funds for the charity, but to run the marathon in her memory.
