Local High School Makes It To National TV Competition Final

St Ninian’s High School is one of 15 across the British Isles that are planning their own versions of BBC1’s Question Time.

A local secondary school has made it to the finals of a national television competition.

St Ninian’s High School is one of 15 across the British Isles that are planning their own versions of BBC1’s Question Time.

If St Ninian’s is one of four winners its students will work behind the scenes on the real prime time TV programme.

A group of sixth formers will be hosting an evening of debate complete with chairman, studio guests and live audience, with judges from the BBC attending.

18 Year old Daniel Quinn is hoping that the local community comes together to support the students. (audio above)

Politics teacher Mr Core said: 'One of the main problems with politics today is that people feel excluded. We thought this would be an excellent opportunity to try to get people more people actively involved in public affairs.’

Members of the public can apply for tickets for March 31 via the St. Ninian's Website and click on the right hand link to Schools Question Time.
