A number of Manx competitors will don their running shoes this weekend to take part in the London Marathon raising money for numerous local charities.
The event will be the subject of a major security operation in light of the attacks in Boston on Monday, which claimed the lives of three people and injured over 150.
One of those running the 26 miles on Sunday will be Ian Moffitt who will be raising funds for Craig's Heartstrong Foundation, and Hospice Isle of Man.
