A local church will run a weekly event providing people with free hot drinks and toast - thanks to the Manx Lottery Trust.
The Trust has awarded funding to St John’s Methodist Church - which will allow volunteers to host the weekly event for local residents during winter.
With the grant, the church hall will now open to the public every Thursday morning from 10am until 12pm and provide free hot beverages and cake or toast.
This grant was administered from the Trust’s Community Warm Spaces Fund, which supports initiatives which aim to provide communities with access to a warm space over the winter months.
