Local 21-year-old dies after traffic accident

Its been confirmed that a 21 year old man has died as  result of the injuries he sustained following a road traffic accident last month.

The incident occurred on the 3rd September just before 1am at the junction with the Cre-ny-Baa back road and the TT course.

Christopher James Heaney of Onchan was flown to Walton Neurological Hospital where he was treated for serious injuries. Despite numerous operations he passed away in Noble's Hospital on Sunday after being flown back to be with his family.

The Police investigation is still continuing into the circumstances leading upto the accident; the second occupant of the car is making a good recovery from her injuries.
