A Liverpool man’s appeared in court over a cocaine stash worth almost £2,000.
Michael Stephen Clohessy of Roxburgh Street appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 42 year old pleaded guilty to possessing 18.6 grammes of cocaine worth £1,900 with intent to supply the class A drug on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas on January 3.
Mrs Hughes said the case was too serious to be dealt with by a summary court, and committed Clohessy to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
There was no application for bail and Clohessy was remanded in custody to appear at the higher court on January 17.
