Police are urging the public not to abandon animals after a fish tank was dumped with a live fish inside.
Officers say the tank was dumped at the rear of Gillian Sheards Opticians sometime yesterday.
They add if not bad enough to simply be left, there was a live fish inside.
The animal - named 'Gillian' has since been rescued, is warm and has been fed.
