Lifeboat teams to utilise low tide in search for woman

Coastguard and lifeboat teams will be utilising the low tide today in the search for a missing woman.

It’s believed 60-year-old Cathy Pridham walked into the sea at Niarbyl on Sunday morning.

The Peel woman had recently found out she was suffering from cancer after a long period in remission.

Police say her family is very distressed and is hoping she will be found as soon as possible.

Sergeant Gavin Callow says although people want to help it is a dangerous area so should be left to the emergency services:
