A fisherman who badly injured his hand whilst at sea was rescued by Douglas lifeboat on Monday.
The lifeboat was launched just after 9.15am to go to the aid of the man who was on a fishing boat around 15 miles south east of Douglas.
He was transferred onto the lifeboat for immediate medical assistance before being transferred to the cruise liner berth in the harbour area where he was met by an ambulance.
There is no update to his condition.
