Port St Mary lifeboat went to the aid of a local fishing vessel yesterday.
The crew was called out on Friday morning after the Manx Lobster developed engine trouble off Castletown.
The RNLI volunteers towed her safely back into harbour.
On its Facebook page, the lifeboat says it's better to be safe than sorry - if something doesn't go to plan, you should call 999 and ask for help.
