The Island's Lieutenant Governor paid a visit to the Isle of Man Post Office Headquarters in honour of its 50th anniversary.
Sir John Lorimer and his wife Lady Lorimer had a tour of the mail centre, including the new parcel automation machine.
As part of the visit, His Excellency also unveiled a piece of artwork dating back to 1983, which had been in storage since 1999.
The mosaic art was created based on a Viking stamp, and has been restored in recent years.
