The campaign to stop cuts to library provision on the Island is picking up steam thanks to the support of Oscar nominated screenwriter, playwright, actor and author, Alan Bennett.
Bennett has been a strong supporter of campaigns like this in North West London and said his thoughts on that matter can be directly applied to the situation on the Island.
He has said that the importance of free access to books for children cannot be underestimated.
His swift show of support was received via a postcard sent to the Prospect Union.
