The idea of introducing a shared equity scheme on the Isle of Man will be put under the spotlight at a political meeting tomorrow.
The Liberal Vannin Party will discuss the issue at a meeting at the Old Friends Club in Douglas.
Government has put the idea of a shared equity scheme out for public consultation – in a bid to come up with an alternative to the Housing Purchase Assistance Scheme which expires in July.
It’s an idea that former chairman, and Onchan MHK, Peter Karran has called for in recent years.
LVP vice chairman Pat Ayres says it will help people get onto the property ladder:
MHK to present immigration petition to Tynwald
Injured walker rescued from Snaefell
Town centre road shut for five days this week
Royal Assent for laws giving parents and carers more rights
New cafe opens in iconic former pub
Have your say on the Island's childcare
Service to be held for long-serving RNLI volunteer
Road in south to shut for cat's eyes installation
