Legislative Council members will discuss moves to officially make Douglas a legal city this week.
When MLCs gather on Tuesday, they'll go through the clauses of the new City of Douglas Bill, which amends 21 pieces of Island law.
The bill removes references to Douglas being a town and replaces them with the word "city", after it was granted its new status in 2022.
Legislative Council is due to sit from 10am on Tuesday, January 13 in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
