A Labour party Legislative Council member has hit out at the Chief Minister over his decision to not appoint a champion for the elderly.
David Cretney MLC has written to Howard Quayle expressing his disappointment.
He says he wants the Council of Ministers to reconsider, saying it's "simply wrong" to not have a representative for old people.
He says after various issues involving the elderly - including free TV licences and rising prescription charges - they need a voice to represent their views.
