Laxey's set to celebrate being twinned with the birthplace of one of its waterwheels.
The village is to be twinned with Bagillt in North Wales.
A sign to mark the links between the two is currently being made, and will be put up once it's been delivered.
The Snaefell Wheel in Laxey Glen Gardens was made in Bagillt, and commissioners say this would be highlighted on the sign.
