Laxey river protection ramped up

Following heavy rain and high river flows, additional protection will be added at Laxey River.

The Department of Infrastructure says more large rocks will be placed on the existing protection area to help protect banks and walls.

Work is expected to continue until Wednesday December 8, weather permitting, and will be undertaken from the roadside.

An emergency 'no parking order' is in place on a short stretch of Glen Road and is marked by cones.
