The Department of Infrastructure says it's closed Laxey promenade because of coastal overtopping.
It's put the closure in place until 2.30pm this afternoon, Tuesday, February 3.
It comes as Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning as a result of the high waves.
That's also in force until 2.30pm.
