New laws that would regulate businesses such as tattoo parlours and alternative therapists won't be considered by politicians until 2027.
Health and Social Care Minister Claire Christian gave the timeline in response to a question for written answer from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
He asked when the Regulation of Health and Social Care Bill would be considered by Tynwald members.
In her response, the minister said after a consultation in August, her department was now considering feedback and planned to start introducing the legislation in February 2027.
