Larch disease spread currently 'under control'

Work to control the spread of larch disease on the Isle of Man is proving successful.

That’s according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which has felled 250 acres of larch trees already.

UK contractors have been brought in to do some of the work at a cost of £2 million.

Another aerial survey will be carried out in the next few months to see how successful the efforts have been.

Minister Phil Gawne says the success of the tree felling is guaranteed:
