A racer from Kent was killed in last night's IMGold Manx Grand Prix practice session.
Tim Moorhead from Whitstable died following an incident just before the Black Hut on the Mountain road, at around 8.05pm.
Mr Moorehead was 50 years old, he leaves a wife.
The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and an investigation into the accident is underway.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club has passed on their deepest sympathy to Tim's family and friends.
