A local authority says it has four weeks left to raise £5,000 to bring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to the north.
Jurby Commissioners says there are 190 children under five within the IM7 postcode area who could benefit from the country star's initiative.
It would allow each youngster to receive a free book through the post every month until their fifth birthday.
