July 2023 was the busiest month on record for the Emergency Department at Noble's Hospital.
That's according to Manx Care, which says both A&E and Ramsey's Minor Injuries Unit has seen an 'unseasonable increase in attendances,' particularly during July, August and September.
The health body says the Emergency Department saw 6.3% more patients in August this year compared to the same month the year before.
It adds that the current wait time to see a treating clinician at Noble's is 63 minutes, and those with a less pressing medical need may wait longer to be seen.
Manx Care has already started making plans for the pressures of the winter period and is working with government and Public Health.
