Douglas has a new mayor, after a special meeting of the council this week.
Councillor Jon Joughin will serve in the role for the next municipal year, taking over from Debbie Pitts.
Mr Joughin serves Victoria ward and is vice-chairman of both the environmental services committee and pensions committee.
He was nominated by Ritchie McNicholl and seconded by Colin Cain.
