On Island optics and photonics operation CVI has announced the closure of its factory with all staff set to be made redundant.
The manufacturing arm of the company employed roughly 35 people.
The factory is set to close in the first quarter of next year after 40 years on the Island.
A spokesperson for the company says the majority of the redundant staff have already found alternative employment.
