Jess eyeing Olympic dream this summer

A Danish-born woman with duel Manx nationality is on the verge of competing in this summer’s London Olympics after another fantastic showing in Sunday’s marathon.

Jess Petersson lived in the Isle of Man during the 1990s and competed in the 2001 Island Games.

She also could have competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Australia thanks to her Manx mother.

The 34-year-old clocked a superb time of 2hr 34min in the London Marathon and was immediately contacted by the Danish Olympic committee.

Earlier, we spoke to Jess who told us more (see audio).

We'll have more updates on Jess's progress over the coming weeks.
