A man who had to be subdued with pava spray after assaulting a police officer has been sent to prison.
Stuart James Corkill of Laburnum Avenue in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes for sentencing after previously admitting the offence and possessing diazepam.
The court heard he'd struck a police officer as he flailed his arms during a row over a taxi.
Mrs Hughes jailed him for a total of 16 weeks and ordered him to pay £250 compensation to the police officer.
