A man who stamped on a man’s head has been jailed.
Alistair John Cowin, whose address was given as care of the Isle of Man Prison, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted breaching the terms of his early release from prison and assault on November 23 last year.
Prosecutor Rachel Braidwood told the hearing the 37 year old had been living at Tromode House when he attacked another resident, punching him to the ground before kicking him and stamping on his head.
Cowin had initially denied the charges before changing his plea.
He was jailed for 22 weeks for the assault and his licence term was suspended for two weeks.
