The Isle of Man has signed a comprehensive double taxation agreement with Qatar.
It’s a significant development as it marks the Island’s landmark 30th agreement which meets the OECD international tax standard on transparency and effective exchange of information.
It’s expected that this agreement will open up major opportunities between the two countries, with the Department of Economic Development planning a high level delegation to visit to Qatar in the near future.
The signing ceremony took place on Sunday, in Qatar between Treasury Minister Eddie Teare, and their Director of Public Revenues and Taxes, Moftah Jassim Al Moftah.
