Film Festival Seen as Celebration of Local Filmmaking Talent

Among the short films to be shown at the Broadway cinema this Thursday will be Chris Jones’ multi-award winning and Oscar short-listed, ‘Gone Fishing’. Chris will then be on hand for a question and answer session.
The Young Filmmaker of Mann competition will be held next Saturday, celebrating the efforts of filmmakers aged 23 and under on the Island, in the past it’s been won by individuals as young as 12.
This year’s Under the Stars outdoor cinema will be showing animated blockbuster How to Train Your Dragon on the Friday, and chick flick favourite Sex and the City 2 on the Saturday.
