Poor weather meant the Isle of Man missed the Northern lights last night - although a photographer captured dramatic images of the phenomenon behind clouds.
A strong geomagnetic storm meant the Aurora Borealis was seen across Britain as far south as the Channel Islands.
The Isle of Man, however, missed out on directly seeing the nighttime display because of cloud cover.
