The government's planning to update health and safety laws governing quarries - because the existing legislation is 75 years old.
When Tynwald sits in October, members will be asked to approve new Quarry (Health and Safety) Regulations put together by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
The department says the existing laws date back to 1950 and need updating to match UK legislation.
Tynwald is due to sit from Tuesday, October 21.
