Manx Utilities says it has just the one hydro power generator on the Island.
A Freedom of Information request asked for details about how much hydro was produced in Peel and Pulrose power stations.
The person behind the request said they'd been told both produced power from nearby rivers.
However, Manx Utilities says neither have ever produced hydroelectric power, which is only produced in Sulby.
