Its been announced by the Chief Minister that the Isle of Man will be having an extra bank holiday next year to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
There had been some speculation as to whether the Island would follow suit and make it a bank holiday, the issue was discussed in the Council of Ministers this week.
It will be put into effect by means of an order made by the Treasury.
The last extra holiday the Island enjoyed for a Royal wedding was in 1981 to mark the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
