The Council of Ministers will review the Isle of Man's position in relation to a resettlement scheme for Syrian refugees.
It follows a petition handed to the Chief Minister on Tuesday from local organisations who have asked him to consider helping people fleeing from conflict.
The One World Centre, Amnesty International IOM, Refugees welcome IOM and Manx Support Refugees offered up the document which contained more than 1,000 signatures.
They asked Howard Quayle to consider taking a 'fair share' of refugees - however he says it's not quite as simple as that:
Repairs on Peel Power Station to get underway
Manx Care doctor survey to be discussed by Tynwald

MHK queries safety at primary school in Ballabeg
