Island set for new hotel and developments

Allan Bell made the announcement this morning

There’s been significant news for the construction sector following the confirmation that major plans are in place to boost the Island’s leisure industry.

Subject to planning permission, a new 50-bedroom hotel will replace the Mannin on Broadway in Douglas – this in addition to the new 30-bed hotel currently being built in Ramsey.

A complete refurbishment of the Douglas Clarendon Hotels also looks set - as well a new gastro-pub, bowling centre, play barn and corporate headquarters at Ballafletcher.

To add to this, Chief Minister Allan Bell also revealed further plans in the pipeline to bolster the Island’s leisure industry (see audio).
