Island Plays Host to Numerous UK Political Figureheads for Drugs Meeting
Major Political figures who are part of the British-Irish Council will be congregating on the Isle of Man today for a high-powered meeting.
The meetings are held annually to discuss issues surrounding drugs and the wider implications of them, this time round legal highs and drugs in prison will be the main points up for debate.
The Meeting will be chaired by Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw, who himself has been instrumental in introducing legislation to outlaw the sale of legal high plant food and also its possession.
Director of Drug and Alcohol Policy Margaret O’Reilly told 3FM about what will be up for discussion in the meeting, and a bit more about the British-Irish Council.
