Island Introduces Immigration Points System
The Isle of Man Immigration Office has
introduced a new points based system for managing levels of immigration on the Island.
The system borrows some aspects from the existing UK one, and is geared toward ensuring foreign migrants to the Isle of Man can both integrate successfully, and also contribute to the Island in some way.
The general requirements are that they have a good grasp of the English language, have enough savings to support themselves and are highly skilled in a certain area of work.
Migrants with entrepreneurial skills and a desire to invest in local business are also welcomed.
More tiers of the system are currently being formulated and will be announced in the New Year.
