Island Hits Lowest Month End Unemployment Total of the Year
November’s unemployment statistics on the Island show little change from last year with only a
slight improvement.
The figures still only represent 2.1% of the Isle of Man’s economically active population with 885 people currently out of work.
Compared to last years figure that’s an unemployment increase of 244.
Construction shows the largest figure of people out of work with 223 currently unemployed.
Compared to figures in the Summer months the levels of work available have dropped significantly.
Currently there are 399 vacancies on record at the Job Centre.
