Elizabeth Smith has been sworn in as the Island's new Solicitor General.
Mrs Smith was sworn into office by the Lieutenant Governor on behalf of The King, Lord of Mann.
She was also appointed as King's Counsel, which is recognition of excellence and one of the highest honours a barrister or solicitor advocate can attain.
The role involves supporting and assisting the Attorney General in acting as legal advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, the Council of Ministers, government departments and statutory boards.
