A private meeting is taking place this evening as the NAHT vote on a new pay deal.
It follows negotiations with DESC after Westminster decided to freeze pay for teachers in England for another year.
National Secretary of the union, Rob Kelsall, says the failure of the Westminster government is a slap in the face to those who have kept schools open during the pandemic.
He added that they’re pleased the Isle of Man government is taking is different approach, however the offer falls below their original claim for investment into the profession, and doesn’t address the immediate and unprecedented workload demands.
