IOM Plane Ditches Into Sea, No Casualties
The pilot of an Isle of Man registered aircraft has been taken to hospital after her plane ditched 22 miles off the coast of Blackpool today.
The Piper PA30 aircraft was headed for the Island from Guernsey when it developed technical problems.
On route to diverting to Blackpool the plane went down, crashing in the sea.
There was only one person on the plane, she was taken by helicopter to a UK hospital for a check up.
