More support for victims of domestic abuse on the island is being planned by the Manx government.
The issue was raised in Tynwald yesterday with MHK Ann Corlett calling for an update on plans to bring in new protection laws.
Home Affairs Minister, Jane Poole-Wilson said the Domestic Abuse Act is currently being progressed but there's currently no timeline for its implementation.
The Domestic Abuse Bill became law in England in April 2021.
It strengthens rules around controlling or coercive behaviour while also recognising children as victims of domestic abuse.
