Fundraisers Swim From Barrow-in-Furness to Laxey Beach
A team of intrepid fundraisers are gearing up for a challenge of a lifetime to swim from the UK to the Isle of Man!
Raising money for Charity, Balla-Africa, which helps aids orphans out in Africa, a group of Manx residents will be swimming from Barrow-in-Furness to Laxey beach – that’s a 47 mile swim.
The team will be helped out along the way by kayaker’s from Adventurous Experiences. The 9 swimmers set off from Barrow at 5:00Hrs this morning. (Satruday)
Organiser Brett Cullen told 3FM he hopes the Isle of Man get behind their effort, and encourages people to get down to Laxey beach on Sunday afternoon to welcome them in.
