Over 120 marine scientists from 16 countries have gathered on the Isle of Man for an International scallop conference.
The International Pectinid Workshop was first held 50 years ago, this time it's in Douglas until April 30.
Officially opened on Thursday by Claire Barber MHK for the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, the conference will cover a range of topics including commercial fisheries, aquaculture and climate change.
