The inquest into the death of a man found in a burning car in Bride was opened and adjourned yesterday.
58-year-old David McLeman, who lived in Ramsey, was discovered in his burnt out Mercedes at the side of Wright’s Pit in Cranstal last month.
His body was extremely badly burnt and cellular tissue needed to be taken from a pair of his headphones to confirm it matched up with a tissue sample.
The forensic pathologist said the cause of death came from inhalation, burns and heat.
Coroner John Needham offered his condolences to Mr McLeman’s family and adjourned proceedings to a later date.
