The inquest into the death of a TT visitor who died after a crash in St Johns will be opened today.
67-year-old Frank Robinson crashed on the Peel to Douglas Road - between Ballaleece Bridge and Tynwald Hill - at 4.50pm last Friday.
The Hull man's Triumph motorbike collided with a Suzuki which was travelling in the opposite direction - the two people on that bike were taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment.
A statement released by Mr Robinson's family described him as a "well-respected figure" in the motorcycle industry due to his 5-WAYS Motorcycle Centre in his hometown.
They say he "truly loved the Island" and described it as a place "very close to his heart" - Coroner of Inquests John Needham will open the inquest at Douglas Courthouse at 2.45pm.
