The Air Ambulance was called out last night to assist an injured walker.
At 5.20pm Peel Coastguard was alerted to a walker who'd slipped and broken their ankle on a coastal footpath near Eary Cushlin.
On arrival at the scene it was decided that the location was too far and difficult to perform a carry out so the helicopter medivac was requested.
When HM Coastguard arrived a winchman was lowered, he made the casualty comfortable and secure before they were lifted to safety and flown to Noble's Hospital for treatment.
